We're so happy to hear you're interested in participating! More information about our ongoing studies are listed below. Our studies involve children between the ages of 6 months and 12 years. If you're a parent or guardian, you can join the participant database being run by the Kid Science group at UCSD here! If you join our database, our lab or other Kid Science labs at UCSD may contact you about studies your child is eligible for.
Ages: 14- to 24-month-olds
How do children think about categories?
What do infants know about words and how does that change as they get older? In this 15 minute online study you child will look at several pairs of images placed side-by-side, varying in their similarity to each other, and will be prompted by an audio recording to look at one of the images! We will use their eye movements to understand which objects they think belong to the same category.
